MIA 1st December 1943 as pilot of B-17G / #42-31111 / MS-'R' / 'Four Aces - Pat Hand'. MACR 1659.
Took off from Ridgewell. Target: Leverkusen, Germany. Damaged by flak this aircraft left the formation and is believed to be lost in the (North) sea. 10x MIA. All 10 men of the crew are commemorated on the Margraten Cemetery Walls of the Missing. Also see:

KIA 30th December 1943 as co-pilot of B-24H / #42-7766 / -H+ / 'Heavy Date' / MACR 1974.
Took off from Hethel airfield. Target: Ludwigshafen, Germany. Shot down by German fighters. all crew baled out but 1Lt Taylor was found dead. 1 KIA / 7 POW / 2 EVD.
The aircraft crashed 1 mile south-east of La Horgne, 12 miles south of Charleville-Mezieres, Ardennes, France (see map below).
1Lr Taylor is buried at Ardennes Cemetery B-45-54.

1Lt Bob M. WHITE, from Gustine, Texas.
KIA 18th March 1944 as pilot of B-24J / #42-99974 / AG-'L' / MACR 3532.
Target: Friedrichshafen, Germany. On the return flight a direct flak hit in the left wing also killed the pilot. The crew baled out of the stricken aircraft which crashed at Doudelainville, 7 miles south-west of Abbeville, France (see map below).
1 KIA / 9 POW.
1Lt White is buried at Normandy Cemetery D-12-42.
